| OATIA holds a four day
annual training seminar in Columbus, Ohio in the Spring of each year
that is a highly intensive training seminar for members and participants
in addition to the free quarterly meetings held around the State of
Ohio.
Our members receive quarterly
newsletters covering all topics in auto theft investigations and theft
prevention. These issues cover topics submitted by members and feature
the latest trends in investigation and theft methods by street
criminals. Also the latest court decisions are presented and upcoming
training events are listed.
Additional training in related fields
are also taught. Fire Investigation, Manufacturer recall and notices are
posted that might have an impact on a members investigation. Marine
Theft Detection and Identification, as well as ATV, Motorcycle and heavy
equipment identification are all instructed by experts in those related
fields.
The membership also receives a annual
member directory that is invaluable in investigations. This allows our
members to have a contact person to aid in their investigation from all
points in Ohio and beyond.
